amytal's hand fell limp on the bedside, and she felt her heart sink with it. maybe she'd rushed him, but she knew he was gone. the doctor looked her over. she's suffering from a minor concussion. there's nothing we can do but let her have some rest. she should be recovering from the shock soon. he said, heading toward the door. amytal woke moments after the doctor left. she looked to colt's sister. where'd he go? she murmered.

Novalle stood, her eyes bright with tears. Don't take it personally. He's just hurting. He'll probably be back later. I don't know where he went. Her voice was filled with sadness. She knew the night would end badly, Colt wanted a fight, and if he couldn't find a man, he'd settle for himself. After a short bit of silence Novalle asked Ashley almost silently, Are there any bars around here? Her voice showed her fears, she held her breath.
Colt drove down the highway and soon turned off, stopping where he had left before. He hopped out and went to the trailer, opening the door. He went in and untied the mare, murmering to her softly as he moved her out. He slipped her bridle back on and mounted in the pooring rain and headed back towards the water hole at a gallop. Ever step of the way he was cursing himself for leaving the way he did.

A large 4x4 dodge 1-ton diesel drove into the driveway of the apartment it pulled up beside a small car and parked. The door to the red truck opened and out stepped a tanned, handsome, blonde-haired, green-eyed man, that looked nothing like Colt. His eyes were full of laughter, and love, his smile full of care-free times around a campfire. He strode towards the door to the apartment, knowing how happy the small family would be to see them. Novalle would be so shocked, she'd probably thought she'd never see him again. He chuckled at the thought of how happy she'd be, how shocked. In their younger days he had lived with them for a few years, after his father had died (his mother had died when he was born) and then he had finally left for college and earned his degree as a vet. He was ready to be on his own, and perhaps go into a partnership with Colt, liked they had talked about when they were young. He stopped at the door, smiling at the thought, and knocked loudly.
Novalle jumped when someone knocked on the door, she ran to it, flinging it open, hoping Colt had returned. The sight that greet her shocked her. Tex stood happily, his red western shirt and blue jeans soaked and his old faded cowboy hat dripping rain into his handsome smiling face. She broke into tears and jumped into his arms hugging him like the brother he had always been to her. She cried desperatly into his shoulder and Tex was instantly moved by her tears. He stepped inside and shut the door and pulled the young girl away from him, looking into her eyes. Novalle, what's wrong? His voice was thick with bewilderment and worry. Had something happened to Colt? He would never forgive himself if he hadn't been there while his friend had been in trouble. Novalle shook her head. It's not Colt, Tex, although I am worried about him. Colt went out riding this morning and he came back a bit later with a girl that was half-unconcious and now she is sleeping in my bed and Colt stormed out a bit ago lik4e a mad-man and I have NO idea where he went. The only person that does is in my room, half-unconcious. She spoke quickly, but Tex gathered all the information none the less as she blubbered on. He pulled her into his arms as she started to cry again. Shhh-Shhh. It's gonna be alright, I'll go find him. Let me talk to this girl real quick. He walked into Novalle's bedroom and stopped at the door. Laying in the bed was one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen, and standing beside was a wman almost identical. He smiled softly and walked towards the bed with the same ease that Colt always showed. He was slightly shorter than him, and a little less muscular, and a year younger, but they both had the same striking good looks. In contrast, Tex's eyes were a pale green, while Colt's were a pale blue. He stopped a little ways from the bed and smiled comfortingly at the girls. Hi,. I'm Tex, Colt's friend. I understand that you were with him before you came here, do you have any idea to where he could have gone? His face was calm, and so was he.

ashley shrugged as novalle asked her if there were any bars in town. why would i know? she said, leaning against the wall. some help she was. amytal spoke weakly. there aren't any... she muttered, letting her head fall back to the pillow. the door opened, and she moved her eyes to the door, dissapointed to see a different figure in the doorway besides colt's. she hadn't expected him back anyway.
the guy, tex, as he called himself, asked if she knew where colt was. she lifted herself up, cringing from the pain. but she was determined to speak to him in an audible manner. information that couldn't be heard would be useless. and she wanted him to find colt and bring him back. he went back to the high desert trail, and into the cheyenne mountain range. she murmered. if you know where the mustang's watering hole is, he should be there. she continued. ashley looked at the guy with a soft smirk on her features.

Tex's eyes shifted to Novalle's, laughter in them. This will be great. His voice was sarcastic as he watched Novalle. By any chance did he leave here in a great hurry with and angry attitude? His voice still held amusement as he looked at Novalle. He knew what had happened, although it had only happened twice before. One look at Amy had told him all he needed to know. Novalle nodded vigorously. I haven't ever seen him like that before. She said in a low voice, glancing nervously at the girl. Tex laughed out loud at this. I'm sure you have, but you were to young too remember. With that, he turned, glancing the two girls over again, and then he turned, walking towards the door. He stopped at the door and glanced back. Novalle, if I'm not back by 12 tonight, then come get me. Don't come anytime before that. His voice was harsh as he turned and stalked out of the door. He jumped in his truck and started it up then headed towards the desert trail. He soon pulled up and the head lights drowned the land. He parked the truck and walked to the trailer in the drizzling rain. He opened it and looked in, moving slowly as he murmered softly to Lady. He soon had her unloaded and saddled and he headed in the way of the waterhole. Colt soon reached the scene of the fight. Aztec stood next to the waterhole, drinking contentedly. Colt didn't see the Silver stallion, perhaps he wandered off, or perhaps he left with his mares. Colt sighed and pulled the mare to a stop near Aztec, his eyes were still full of anger as he slid off the mare. He approached the stallion cautiously and was soon petting him, marveling painfully at the wounds that covered his hide. His anger subsided slightly, but he swirled around at the sound of hoofbeats. Tex rode up and stopped Lady, a little ways from Colt. His grin stayed the same. Well, if ain't the poor little lost Colt. What are you doin' out here when that pretty little girl's waitin' for you at your shabby little apartment? His smile was all knowing, as was his face. Suddenly, rage filled Colt. You better shut your mouth Tex, you don't know a d**n thing! He screamed as he moved towards Tex. Tex slid off Lady and tied the mare to a nearby tree he walked over and stopped a few feet from Colt and began rolling up his sleeves. After he finished he looked at Colt, still smirking. You know, it'd be a real shame if that girl fell in love with someone else while you around out here. With that comment, Colt exploded. He rushed at Tex and hit him twice in the gut and then one on the chin, but Tex was ready. He swung at Colt with his right hand, catching him on his jaw. The punched connected loudly, but it didn't even faze Colt. He jumped on Tex, knocking him to the ground. They wrestled about, punching wildly and randomly. The tussle went on for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, before they finally wore themselves out. Tex was the first one to give way, but Colt was in complete agreement. They both lay on the grass, breathing, and bleeding heavily. They nursed their wounds in silence, yet neither of them were sorry for the fight. It had taken all the anger out of them, and left them content. They made a strange sight, two best friends, fully happy by a painful, bloody fight. Colt's lip had a gash across it, and one of Tex's cheekbones were so bruised that it swell slightly. They knuckles were both bloodied and their bodies were both bruised all over. Despite the bruised and cut faced, they smiled foolishly. Suddenly, without warning, they both began laughing crazily. They got up, slapping each other on the back and then walked over to their horses. Colt washed Aztec's cuts and then began looking for the silver stallion. ((can you RP the silver stallion real quick, and, if Colt catches him, he can make him a present for Amy )

ooc: yeah.
the silver stallion wandered in, limping slightly. he had a large gash running across his hindquarters. his mares had gone to aztec, and were grazing contentedly beside him. the silver stallion didn't move a muscle, standing in the rain, defeated and in agony.

Colt stopped when he saw the stallion. He moved slowly towards him, murmering softly in Comanche. He knew the language perfectly, as his grandfather had insisted on it when he was younger. His voice was enchanting as he moved closer and closer, his hands out. Aztec sniffed at the other stallion, and nickered to him softly, now completly intent on making friends.
Tex watched as he sat beside Lady, her neck draped over his shoulder and she nuzzled his hands.

the stallion didn't move. he stood there, returning aztec's nicker with a snort. the rain poured down on his silver cloak turning him to a steel grey. he trusted the one that was coming closer, yet the stallion was not so sure of the other with the horse. still, bound to one spot by his wounds, he didn't move, just watched the humans with wary eyes.

Colt stopped beside him, laying his hands on his shoulder, talking gently as he rubbed his hands over the parts of his pelt that held no wounds. Tex sat still and watched as he worked, amazed as always of the capabilities of his friend. It was because he grew up on a reservation, he decided. He knew how to become a mere animal in the eyes of other animals. He didn't have a human scent, he only looked human. He acted like a horse now as he touched the stallion gingerely, as another horse would. Tex smiled and sat still, not moving at all, and having no intention too. Colt worked slowly as he attempted to sooth the stallion.

the stallion snorted nervously and backed away from colt's touch at first, but moved toward him again later. he felt he needed company. soon, he was nosing colt's chest, nickering softly.

Colt smiled and slipped his hand under his jaw and one around his neck, he murmered coaxingly, trying to get the stallion to walk with him. If he could get the stallion to the trailer, he might be able to load him up and take him to the barn, then he'd be able to doctor his wounds, but, if the stallion couldn't move, he'd have Tex go back home and get his camping supplies, along with his antiseptics, so that he could doctor the stallion out here. Either way, Colt wouldn't grumble. He was just happy to be allowed so close to the wild creature. Aztec did a number on him, but Colt wasn't worried about Aztec. As long as he was breathing, he'd pull out of it. Also, the sliver stallion looked much worse off than Aztec.

the stallion shook his head with another snort before stepping in the direction colt had asked him to. surely he had been domesticated before. he nudged colt again as he moved. his past herd didn't even watch him go. he was yesterday's news, as far as they were concerned. the trailer loomed over the silver stallion. but he didn't stop. he headed right into the contraption, surely proving that somebody had loved him once.
ooc: want to get back to amytal and ashley?

ooc: Lol, yep...
Colt loaded the stallion into the trailer, then turned, suprised to see that Tex had followed them with Amy's mare and Lady. Aztec had followed at a distance. Colt moved and grabbed Amy's mare by the reins and traded her bridle for a halter and loaded her into the trailer, which was a slant load, beside the silver stallion. He whistled to Aztec and loaded him into Tex's trailer, which was just like his, right behind Tex's other mare. Then, he helped Tex load Lady, his other mare. They both smiled hysterically, even though they were bruised and bloody, and soaked to the bone, they seemed to not notice anything other than the fine catch. They jumped into the front of their trucks, revved the engines, and pulled out, headed back towards the apartment with lighter hearts, and a strange contentment that came from exertion.

as colt came back into the apartment, amytal opened her eyes again. is he all right? she said, referring to the silver stallion. as he came closer, she saw the blood. what happened to you? she murmered.
ashley laughed as the two guys came in, green eyes sparkling. woah there. lose a fight, cowboy? she smirked as she spoke to tex. amytal rolled her eyes. ashley was such a wierd person...grumpy one moment, almost...happy...the next.
