Marissa looked over the menu, but soon settled on a Parisla de Fetucina, a small cut of beef covered in a delightful, yet light, tomato sauce. It also came with an Italian salad, which she was certain that she would love. She glanced back at Gabe and she handed her menu to the waitress with a soft smile. I love it. It's just so serene and beautiful. She said as she followed his glance. She stopped herself as she began wondering what he would be like as a husband. She knew she was getting much too involved, much too soon, just as she knew that he probably wouldn't see her as "wife material" as many of her ex-boyfriends had pointed out so kindly. But then, they had never known her wild side. They had never known her to run through the woods on an Arabian, to care for abandoned wolf pups, or to free birds whose legs were tangled in litter that people had thrown on the ground. Gabe had saw some of that side of her, would that change the way he looked at her for better, or for worst?

His eyes had shifted from the scene of the setting sun to Marissa, " Yes, Beautiful... " he said unable to keep his eyes off her. He hadnt realized that he was staring for her and a second later his eyes had shifted back to the scene which was capturing their attention. He sipped the wine slowly now, because he already had a nice buzz and he didnt want to ruin the evening by making a fool of himself.

Marissa turned back to him, smiling in a soft, sweet way. She was sure if he was talking about the sunset, or her, but it didn't really matter anymore, she was allowing herself to be drawn into his handsome voice and his gorgeous eyes. She knew it would only lead to more bitter-sweet memories, but she couldn't stop. She had always been accused of being a dreamer and she couldn't stop herself from dreaming of being loved. It was foolish, she knew, for no man what anything from her but her body. No man wanted her love, her laughter, her hugs, her tears, her children. They only wanted the one thing that she would never give to a man that wasn't her husband. Watching Gabe, she realized that she truly believed he was worth the risk of a broken heart, after all, she had gotten pretty good at mending them. What would be one more? Barely anything. Besides, there was always the remote possibility that this time it would go right, it was worth a shot. So...where are you from, originally? Her voice flowed out, beautiful lyrics pouring between her rose red lips.

(kkz, I have none either)
Marissa nodded, her eyes roaming over his face for a moment, trying to memorize the look in his eyes. It was almost distant, but not quite. She wasn't sure if she would ever be able to read him as she had with many people. He was so much different from everyone else she had met. He wasn't self-fish, he wasn't rude, and he was really handsome. It put him in a class all by himself. He wasn't like the other men that she had dated. He seemed to care about the people around him, and though she did look quite attractive herself, he didn't appear to like her only for her looks. Even Moon had liked him, and that was somethin', for, normally, she wouldn't let anyone but Marissa and some of her old friends near her.
Marissa glanced around the room quickly, then turned back to Gabe with a playful smile upon her face. Okay, it's quiz time. What's your favorite color? She said, her eyes sparkling softly with a repressed giggle. He didn't seem to want to talk about his past, but she couldn't blame him, she wasn't proud of hers either. So, if he didn't want to talk about the past, then they could talk about the present, and, of course, what his favorite things were.

" Green, yours? " he said with a smile as the memories flooded out just as quickly as they had rushed to his mind. He coughed and sipped a bit more of wine, having a bit of buzz always seemed to broaden his view of how he saw things. He looked calmly into her eyes waiting for a reply and wondering what would happen in the future. He prayed that his pride wouldnt get the best of him, as it often did with women, and that he would never break her heart. Looking at her tonight he did not now what he would do with himself if he broke her heart....

Her smile widend as she heard him. Green, huh? Kinda close to hers. Turquiose or teal. What's your favorite kind of food? She asked, watching him through sparkling optics. She wasn't sure if it was the wine or that she simply really liked him, but something about him seemed to call to her.
sorry, no muse...=[

He thought for a moment and sighed " Ok, this isnt the healthiest choice but i can still always settle for a beer and some pizza " he said laughing. Most of the time he was pretty healthy and he always ran and lifted weights and tried to stay healthy, but sometimes you just cant help but settle for a beer and some greasy pizza.

Marissa's smile was completely genuine as she heard his reply. I'll certainly have to remember that. She stated happily as she quickly filed the information away in her mental data-bank for a rainy day. If this all worked out as she was hoping, she'd have plenty of time over the years to suprise Gabe with a large pepperoni pizza and a six-pack of iced down Budweiser.

Marissa smiled as she laughed with him. My favorite food would have to be...hmmm... fried chicken. She said, smiling, remembering so many times when her grandmother had made it, well, her real grandmother, not her adoptive grandmother. What's your favorite kind of movie?

He thought, it was tough because he never really had time at his old house to go out and go to a movie just to relax and watch it. " Well probably old westerns, but i like actions and horror too " he added.

Marissa nodded. Personally, she hated watching horror movies alone. They scared her ;D. But she did like westerns and action movies, of course, nor as much as she liked comedy's and sappy romances. Of course, she hated almost all dramas. My favorite would have to be romances and comedy's. She said as she smiled.

Marissa smiled as the waitress walked up with their food. Mmm. It smells good. She said, as she glanced over the food with a sophisticated eye. As soon as their plates were placed in front of them, she unrolled her napkin and delicately placed it in her lap.
