Rules
Section A : General Requirements & Member Conduct
A1. Future members must have a basic knowledge of equines.
A2. Future members must be age 13 or over to participate in Nevada Rain. (COPPA Act, 1998)
A3. Future members must have had experience in email-based SIMs before. (Horseland, Equintium, Pony Box, etc., message-board SIMs, and RPGs do not count.)
A4. Future members must have an active e-mail that they check frequently that they can use to play Nevada Rain. If you do not have an e-mail that you want to use for Nevada Rain, you may make one at one of these many sites:

A5. Future members must be fluent in the English language to participate in Nevada Rain.
A6. Joining members must send in the form with a real name. (ex: NOT horselover98323)
A7. Please refrain from advertising other sites on any part of the game (excluding the specific board on the forum).
A8. You may not have the same name as another member of the game. I will notify you upon joining if you chose a name an Nevada Rain member is already using.
A9. Please do not join the game using mulitple e-mail addresses.
A10. Please do not join the game and then create multiple accounts.
A11. Nevada Rain has a current member limit of 20 members, so join quickly!
Section B : Members
B1. All Nevada Rain members begin the game with $1,000,000. You must keep track of your own money, staff will not do it for you.
B2. Members must respond to an activity check monthly. There, members will be asked their bank balance.
B3. If Nevada Rain staff find you to be lying about your bank statement, any global moderator/admin has the right to suspend/ban you from the game.
B4. When writing checks, members should use the following format:
To: Person's member name who you are sending the money order to
From: Your member name
Amount: The amount of money that you are sending to the other member in this money order
For: What you are sending the money for (what you are purchasing)
Date: The day you sent the money order/check, whatever you call it
Signed: Your member name
Section C : Roleplaying
C1. You may roleplay other human characters and even equines, including the ones you own and ride. These characters can be your family, friends, workers and show riders. They can compete with your horses in shows when you are showing another one in the same class.
C2. Please refrain from role-playing in any area of the site except the 'Roleplay' section on the Forum.
C3. Be appropriate & realistic when roleplaying. I may later make other non-equine places where your charcters can role-play around town.
C4. The other characters that you roleplay may interact with other characters that other members may roleplay. They can trail ride together, show in competitions, or train horses together, whatever you want!
Section D : Horses
D1. You are allowed to create two free horses when you join Equestrianne. You create these 2 horses on the forum.
D2. Only the owner of a horse may transfer the ownership of the equine. Not the buyer.
D3. If you wish to import/export an equine, post in the appropriate board. An admin will accept your request before the importation/exportation is complete. When importing, a horse's points go back down to 0.
D4. When entering your horses in a show, you are not allowed to have more than 10 of them in the same class. They all must have different riders, and you can use yourself, the other characters you roleplay, or hired riders. (Coming Soon)
D5. No two horses in the Equine Database may have the same show name. However, if there was a horse named Midnight Star and a horse named Twilight Star, they could both have the barn name Star. However, if you know for a fact that another horse shares your horse's barn name (nick name) then use the show name on the forum instead of the barn name when roleplaying.
D6. Horses age 1 year every two months. Horses age on the first of these months: January, March, May, July, September, November.
D7. To have your horse aged, please send in the form at the Extension Office every two months.
D8. Horses should have a visit to the vet and farrier at least once every month.
D9. All horses must live at a boarding stable or your own private/mini barn.
D10. No horse should be overworked or overshown. You may not enter your horse in more than 2 shows that have their run date in the same week. (ex: If you enter a horse in a show with a run date of October 16th and one with a run date of October 18th, you may not enter the horse in a show with a run date of October 17th.) If you disobey this rule, the horse that you overworked will have all of its points deducted and it will be taken to the Humane Society.
D11. Members may not make up a horses pedigree unless they have a knowledge that the horse has been bred on the game.
Section E : Breeding
E1. A mare's gestation period in Nevada Rain is 2 months, which in Nevada Rain time would translate into 1 year. (Yes, we know it is 11 months in in RL)
E2. The date in which the breeding is posted (on the forum) by the mare/stallion's owner is the date that the mare is bred.
E3. Bred mares are not allowed to show in anything but Halter after 1 month of gestation.
E4. Members may only breed up to 5 horses a month. However, if you have a private stable specializing in breeding, you can breed up to 15 a month.
E5. A mare must be at least 4 years to be a dam, a stallion must be at least 3 years to be a sire.
E6. Mares may only have 5 foals a year.
E7. A mare must have waited 9 days until she can breed again. (Ex: If a mare was bred on January 30th, she would have that foal on March 30th. Then, she would need to wait until April when she could breed again, not March 30th.)
E8. Equine's breeding partners should be realistic. (ex: You may not breed a Shetland Pony to a Shire)
Stallions 18hh and Over-Min. Height: 14 hh
Stallions 17 hh-Min Height-13 hh
Stallions 16 hh-Min Height-12 hh
E9. To view the mares that have been bred, and their due dates, visit the Extension Office.
Section F: Showing & Training
F1. Horses must be trained before entering Championship Shows. However, they are all permitted to enter regular shows. Horses must be at Level 1 before competing in Championship Shows. To pass Level 1, your horse must have recieved 100 points from Regular shows.
F2. Untrained horses are permitted to enter regular shows only, not Championship shows.
F3. Members and trainers should only enter horses into the regular show classes they are training in for Championship shows. (Ex: If your horse is being trained in Barrel Racing so it will compete in Barrel Racing once it gets to the Championship shows, enter it in a Barrel Racing class, not a Hunter/Jumper class.)
F4. Horses are trained until they have 100 points earned from regular. They may then begin to enter Championship Shows.
F5. In a regular show, classes may be run with only 1 horse in them.
F6. At Championship Shows, there must be at least 2 horses in a class for it to run.
The Point System
1st Place-50 points
2nd Place- 45 points
3rd Place-40 points
4th Place-35 points
5th Place-30 points
6th Place-25 points
7th Place-20 points
8th Place-15 points
9th Place-10 points

Section G : Running A Show
G1. Any member who wishes to run a show must have a place to host it at. This means running it at a boarding or private stable. If the stable is not your's, you should ask permission from the owner before hosting your show there.
G2. To run a show, you must use the proper format. Go to www.geocities.com/horselover00188/showformat to view the proper format, how to use it and how not to.
G3. Do not, ask outrageous prices OR ask for a slew of extra fees that the owner of horses must pay. You may run a free show.
G4. Members must also follow the rules that the owner of the stable they are hosting the show at posts.
G5. If you are running a Championship show, you may not enter your horses in the show, unless you hire a judge to randomize the results for you. This rule does not apply to regular shows.
G6. All shows must be run by the Randomizer.
Section H : Training
H1. To become a trainer, visit the Extension Office and apply for a license. To train, you must have a stable or rent land from the Public Training Grounds. You must also take a 10 question test and get 70%+ correct.
H2. Trainers are eligible to enter the horses they are training into regular shows until they are finished training. Go to www.geocities.com/horselover00188/acceptabledisciplines.html to view a list of acceptable classes/disciplines you may see in shows.
H3. All trainers must report to Amytal, when the training of a horse has begun or ended. The trainer must tell her the horse's name and how many classes they are training for, and which classes. Look above for a link to the acceptable disciplines of the game. The day Amytal recieves this message is the day the training will be documented and begun.
Section I: Stables/Registries/Clubs & Businesses
I1. Members may open a stable after 1 month. You must take a 10 question test and answer 70%+ correct. Then you will get $500,000 to buy stable supplies. You can buy land from the construction company located in the Extension Office's homepage. There, you can buy acreage, stalls, offices, tack and feed rooms, wash stalls & more for your barn before putting it up on the Town page.
I2. We do not accept pages from Expage. No sites can feature premade layouts and must be original. If you would like some help with making your webpage, you can contact Amytal and she will help you out.
I3. You may own a private stable, mini stable or boarding stable. You may then classify your stable as a breeding/training stable, etc.
I4. Registries, clubs & associations may be opened if Nevada Rain is currently accepting them. (You may currently make registries, clubs and associations with Amytal or Sarcelle's permission)
I5. Businesses and other sorts of establishments may be opened if Nevada Rain is accepting them. (You may currently make businesses with Amytal or Sarcelle's permission)
Section J : Photography
J1. Members should not use stolen pictures, or photos they do not have permission to use from the owner.
J2. Nevada Rain is not responsible for any stolen photos/material placed on the website that other members may use.
J3. Members must place a disclaimer by any photos that are not their's.
J4. No photos should be taken from somewhere without being granted permission. (A google/yahoo type search is counted as stealing images.)
J5. No hyperlinking allowed. This means you should upload the images to Photobucket/Tinypic and then use the URL they supply for you.
J6. No inappropriate images/porn is allowed on the site.
Section K : Member Levels
K1. Novice- All members start out on this level. You must be active on the message board and site for at least a week to advance. This means creating horses, making businesses and registries, whatever you want. In this stage of membership, the member must prove they will be an active part of the community.
K2. Beginner- This means you have been active for at least a week. You now are entitled to buy creation credits from the Extension Office and create more horses than your free 2 if you wish. Once you reach this level, the game will award you $10,000.
K3. Intermediate- This means you have been active for at least 1 month. Now you may own a stable of any kind you wish. Private, breeding, mini or boarding. Once you reach this level, the game will award you with $20,000. If you pass the stable test, you will get an additional $500,000 to build your stable with.
K4. Advanced- This means you have been active for at least 2 months, You may continue to own your stables and here, you get 3 free creation credits and an awarded sum of $30,000.
K5. Elite- To become one of the elite you have to have been active for at least 5 months, own a stable, have run at least 10 shows, your horses must be trained and have one horse that has passed 3,000 points.
