Wyatt pushed Glory into a gallop as he guided her down the grassy trail, his eyes searching the darkness of the forest as he came closer and closer to the bubbling sound of the brooke. He pulled the mare to a stop when the stream came into view and he slid off, his teal colored eyes flashing in the strange lighting of the forest. He walked the mare to the stream, allowing her to sip a little before he filled his canteen upstream from where the mare pawed the water. He pulled his hat off, running his gloved hand through his sandy blonde hair, then thoughtfully rubbed his stubbly chin. He'd been in this new place for less than a day, and he already loved the land. Everything was perfect, the trails, the small town, the stables. He smiled, this was his town and he was determined to stay for quite a while. He had wandered here on a whim, just so he could someday say that he had been to this part of the country, even though he thought he wouldn't like the deserted land, he had found himself liking it more and more.

When I'm almost with you music tries to play, When I'm almost home I almost hear you say, It would be all right if we could run away.
Eva's gentle 'dirty blonde' curls cascaded down her shoulders, ocean blue eyes focused steadily on the horizon. A soft, pointless smile was spread across her features as she took in the surroundings of the grassland trail. Everything was so different here, so open and there seemed to be no one around for miles. A gentle breeze scoped the almost barren land, the sun pelting down on her bare shoulders, her smooth skin a deep bronze from hours out in the sun.
The girl wore an emerald green tanktop and beige breeches, with shining black field boots that came to just beneath her knees. She sat bareback upon Malibu, her Andalusian stallion that seemed to trot in place. If one were to look upon the slender girl and her beast, it would be a miracle to the eyes, two angels joined as one, being one. At least, that was how Eva felt. She gave the brute a quick pat on his bulky, muscular ivory neck, receiving a blunt snort in response.
Fingers gripped the leather reins of the english bridle delicatly, lightly almost. Her and the equine had an amazing bond, with all dressage work she did with him. Her leg shifted back and asked the equine for a nice working canter, the immediete pounding of hooves filling the girl's ears, her body rocking, her legs cradling the beast she sat upon, locks blown by the breeze.
The pair soon came by a creek, and they slowed to a walk. She gave the stallion a pat, thinking for a moment and then guiding him into the water, the splash of water flying upon her clothed legs. She sat on his back for a moment while he took a few sips of the cool aqua water, a figure catching her eye in the slight distance. "Hello?" She asked, slightly surprised that there was even anybody else on this trail, let alone she ran into that person.

Glory lifted her head and nickered softly. Wyatt shot to his feet his dark teal eyes searching the dim lighting. His eyes soon fell on a distant figure on horseback. He breathed out harshly with relief, his hand falling away from the hilt of the knife that was tied to his saddle horn. He turned back towards the figure as he replaced his cowboy hat on his head and screwed the lid back onto his canteen. He looped it around his saddle horn once and smiled at the approaching figure. Howdy. His deep voice echoed through the clearing, loud, smooth, deep. He loosened Glory's cinch as he turned his back to the figure to work easily on the mare.

I'm gonna ride it all out Never gonna slow down this time It's all about to change
Horse and rider splashed through the water as they went nearer to whomever was out riding along with their horse, apparently filling up a water canteen. Once she was near and was actually able to make out his facial features, she smiled at his deep voice and welcome howdy. So much different. So very different from where she was born, Holland... so very different from New York.
She took a moment to study the horse he was riding, but only a small minute. Then baby blue eyes focused on the man again, a charming smirk carressing her features. "Sorry. You must not have expected many people to be out on this trail..." She apoligized, though her voice held no apologetic tone, it was just to make conversation really. Wasnt it? She held the reins of the equine tightly, Malibu had perked up a little now that there was a mare around. The splashes were now drenching her breeches so that they clung to her legs in a sloppy wet mass. Sighing, she could do nothing to stop his 'jittery' legs.
"Is that an Arabian?" She wondered aloud, studying the mare's scopey fascade and high held tail. The mare was really quite beautiful, but Eva loved her Andy, the stockyness of the horse and such an elegant dance was a mystery to her. She paused, breaking eye contact with the handsome man and exaimened her features before adjusting herself on the horse's bare back, sometimes she slid forward and it got rather uncomfortable.

Wyatt smiled, his hard features softening a bit. No, I didn't, but I guess getting to know the people in this place wouldn't be a bad thing. He replied as he slipped the western saddle off the palomino Arabians back. Yep, her name's Golden Glory. His voice was stronger, louder than it had been at first. His eyes searched upwards, finding the beautiful girls soft blue ones in the midst of her sandy blonde hair. His eyes then roamed over the stallion, stopping when he let his eyes wander to the girl again. He quickly focused on his mare, trying to keep his eyes, and his mind, on his work. He didn't succeed. Suddenly, his thoughts were smothered with the pretty girl who sat only yards away. Suddenly, he shifted uncomfortably, causing the mare to snort and paw at the water. He looked at her sharply, suddenly angry that he couldn't control his own thoughts. The mare reached over to him, nuzzling him. He calmed a bit. I'm Wyatt. What's your name? His voice resinated through the forest, resounding quickly.

Hmm, Golden Glory seemed to fit the mare. First off, she was a palomino which really was quite like a gold hue, and second, she seemed gloriful.. right? Eva considered Malibu, the male probably had no interest in a horse that couldn't, what, fly around barrels or rope a cow. Suddenly she was self conscious about Malibu, about everything. She felt Malibu was the best horse a girl could have, but not the best a cowboy could have. "This is Malibu." She said, as the stallion pranced through the water, creating small waves.
She stayed on his back easily, legs glued to his sides as he seemed to waltz through the clear liquid, but as the boy was off and tying up Glory, she nudged the stallion off to the shore, listening to his words. Wyatt, nice. As she thought, she realized this was the first real cowboy she had ever met, and she also realized that the name suited him perfectly. "I'm Eva, Eva Schreiber." She said, and if she had met him in a circumstance where she hadnt been on the back of her horse, she would have introduced herself in a more polite manner, with a handshake perhaps.
Soft blue eyes fell on his features, then quickly glanced away as they made direct eye contact, though she had made it before. Somehow, now it felt different. A c.ocky smirk carressed her features as she looked at him again, "So, you must be a real cowboy then." She said, perfectly groomed eyebrows raised.

Wyatt's laughter echoed through the forest. A real cowboy? I guess you could say that. Would it be safe to assume that your a real city girl? He asked, his handsome face ready to burst with hidden laughter, but he wasn't laughing at her, he was laughing at his own good fortune. How many times did he meet a pretty city girl on a trail in the middle of nowhere? Never, that was for sure. But he was used to the city girls, that was for sure. He was also used to the age old line "Wow, so your a "real" cowboy?!?". He smiled at the thought of all the niave girls he had met in the past, dated in the past, most of them stayed in his life for a very short time, days mostly. His longest relationship was two days shy of an entire month. He couldn't sit still much longer than that. He was always on the move, always looking for something that he had never found, and never knowing what it was that he couldn't find. He shook away the old thoughts, then tied Glory to a nearby tree and tossed the saddle on the ground, he unfolded the Navajo saddle blanket and laid in out, before sitting down and taking a long drink out of his canteen, admiring the stallion while he waited for the girl's reply.

He was a real cowboy, probably lived on a working ranch all his life herding cows or whatever those cowboys do. Eva smiled, taking in his words, he had a good personality, at least he wasn't all over her, like all the 'city guys' are. Now really, she had been quite popular with them, but now she was gone from that, well she thought so anyway. "Perhaps, but maybe I have some cowgirl in me too." She said with a smile, a small laugh escaping fine pink lips. Nah, she knew she was classified a city girl. Well, sort of. Except she rode horses and pretty much breathed horses. And friends. And guys. And clothes. I guess that's where the city part comes in.
She nudged Malibu out of the water and they moved over to where he was now sitting on the blanket, Glory tied to a tree. The stallion cast the mare a glance, but Eva's legs told him otherwise. She swung her long, slender legs over the back and landed with an elegant thump, grabbing the leather reins and pulling them over so she could give him some lead. She moved over and sat down beside Wyatt, to be so bold. Her hand was still clamped around the reins, but Malibu was now busily munching away at the emerald grass that was scattered over the terrain. Leaning her head against a tree, blonde locks cascading down her shoulders beautifully.
"Fine. I'm a city girl. Is that so bad?" She said, turning to look at him. Blue eyes searched his gently, had she ever been so .. well, not an 'easy' girl with any guy like this? Stupid city, that's what they turned pretty girls into. But the country made her someone else.

Wyatt's rough laughter surrounded them. It all depends, I s'pose. He smiled, showing a straight, solid, white set of teeth. Then he leaned a bit closer to her, a playful smirk on his lips. Do you have a poodle or chihuahua? You know, like all those city girls in the movies? He asked, pretending to be sincere, but hardly able to control his handsome laughter. How many times had girls asked him "Do you have a horse? You know, like those cowboys in the movies?". He knew that the inevitable questions would come, there were very few girls that hadn't, all of them had been barrel racers that he met at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in Texas. He had met them all the same week, and dated them all. Four of them had had a baby 9 months later, he hadn't saw any of them after that, or their angry older brothers. He laid down on the saddle blanket and sat his hat aside, still smirking up at the beautiful girl.

She smiled at his response, turning away from him briefly, watching the golden mare standing patiently, much unlike Malibu who kept snagging at the reins. As she turned back towards him, she noted just how close he was now. Oh. Pushing thoughts away from herself, she thought about her answer. "Nah, that's a little too plastic for me. I have a Shepherd, German Shepherd." She said with a laugh, soft and gentle.
She did happen to be like those girls that he was talking about, in slightly different ways. In New York, she had been materialistic, but not to the extreme. She had, what, a couple pairs of expensive sunglasses, quite a few purses, shoes. But her style was more boutique elegant, like the european styles. She was envied for that often, but some girls didn't like that. Brands brands brands, that's what a few of her friends thought. "How old are you?" She wondered, wondered what type of person she was getting herself into. And she wasnt even trying to.
But then, his closeness was unbearably addictive, and she found herself inching closer without making it obvious, dropping the reins from her hands and letting her lips meet with his, soft and gentle. Her hand moved to his jawbone as she traced it delicatly, her eyes closed softly. She pulled away slightly though, blue eyes flashing open as she broke her gaze with him. "Oh - I'm sorry..." She said, taking a deep breath while her stallion continued to eat the grass, taking no notice of the slack of reins.

Wyatt laughed softly. Believe me, I DON'T mind. He said, smirking as he slipped an arm around her incredibly small waist. He pulled her slightly closer, his lips inches from hers. I'm twenty three. How old are you? He asked as he sat up, staring into her soft blue eyes, his teal eyes flashing his excitement. He leaned closer to her, his eyes never leaving hers. For a second, he was completely still, then he pressed his lips to hers, kissing her passionatly.
(Sorry it's so short, I'm REALLY tired, and it's REALLY late, my dad was dowloading programs onto our computer for like 3 hours straight...)

[thats kay, sorry mine took so long]
Taking a deep breath while she waited for his reply, she wondered just how bad it was ofa move she had just made. However, when his deep, rumbling laugh came, she shifted her baby blue eyes back upon his features, being pulled closer to his muscular body. She smirked, running a delicate finger along his jawline again. "Mmm, good then." She said with her playfully seductive tone.
Eyes closed as he whispered to her his age, it was a good age. He could drink legally, and well, it was just a good age. She paused, thinking of her own twenty years of age, shifting her head so her lips were close to his ear. "Hm, I'm twenty." She whispered, then found herself being kissed by him this time. Lips melted upon his, hand moving from his jaw to his chest, where she carressed small circles into the muscle before grabbing his shirt and pulling him gently closer to her.
Great, so now she would certaintly have a reputation right? The city girl that gets herself with a cowboy the first day she's here. All well, she would deal with that later. Smiling to herself through the passionate kiss, she realized just how fortunate she was to have been welcomed so ... passionatly.

His mind raced as he pulled her closer to her, kissing her much rougher than he had intended too. He laughed again, his laughter dark with lust and full of male appreciation. Thank his lucky stars. How many years had it been since he had greeted a woman like this? Four. He had been younger then, more foolish, but between then and now he had learned the ways of women, and he knew fully well how that slowly wrapped a man up, practically putting him on a leash and teaching him to come to heel. He knew now when to get involved and when to back away. He also knew when to run. This was like none of those times, this was completly different. He felt suddenly intoxicated, like he was drunk, his mind clouded, he wasn't able to think clearly. All he knew was the beautiful woman pressed close to him, and his own stupid actions that would corner him into a bad situation, quick, if he wasn't careful. But he couldn't be careful, he couldn't force himself to stop. The girl was different, and he knew it, she was in his blood, under his skin within a moment, and emotions that had long been buried in his heart started to grow again.

Hormones told her to go further, told her to start removing his shirt to reveal that muscled chest she was positive he had. And man, she wanted to. But she didn't know if she should, literally speaking, it would be against what her parents had told her, but wasn't that what she liked doing? Pretty much turning against what they told her? Her hands wandered to his shirt, slipping underneath the fabric, heart beating with the rush of adrenaline that always came during moments like these.
But then, she pulled away. Stopped kissing him even though she wanted to kiss him so much more, wanted to feel his body's warmth with hers. She took a deep breath, her body still touching his, her heart still racing for his touch. She just noticed then that Malibu had wandered back into the water, and was now swimming completely, treading water. She stood up, glancing back to Wyatt with a smile upon her features. "Come for a swim with me, please?" She said, eyes flickering back to the white stallion.
Without thinking, she pulled off the tanktop, then slipped off the breeches so she was merely in a bra and panties. And yet, she didn't really care. She was bold and really didn't think much about being conservative, perhaps it was the city girl in her. Bounding into the water, she slipped her head under, coming up with wet curls draping her back. She laughed, glancing at Wyatt before turning towards Malibu, who was now swimming towards her. Grabbing his wet mane, she hoisted herself onto his back, giving the horse a large pat on the neck before nudging back into the deeper water, eyes set on Wyatt with a smirk.

Wyatt's eyes followed her, until she dove in, the spell broken. He knew he couldn't follow her, he would trap himself again, so he sat back on the Navajo blanket, pulling his hat over his eyes. I think I better stay over here, otherwise, I might do something you'll regret. He knew that he wouldn't regret what he would do, but he couldn't say the same for the girl, and he was sure that if he didn't get control of himself now, he wouldn't be able to later. He closed his eyes beneath the brim of his hat and silently cursed himself for being so stupid. She was just a girl, why did he care? There were plenty of girls all over the world, why should it matter if this girl liked him or not? He couldn't answer his own questions, because he had never been in love before, he'd never known the complicated feelings or the twisted emotions.
