ashley lay in a hospital bed, screaming at the top of her lungs, squeezing tex's hand. she must have already broken it. the nurses said reassuring words that the baby was coming and it would be fine, but ashley was numb to it all. she focused on tex's face, sweat coming down her own as the nurses told her to push. she glared angrily at them. what did they think she was doing over here? eating ice cream? nope. definitely not that. oh well. she was ready to get rid of this belly and see her baby anyways. suddenly the excitement in the room shot up tremendously and all the nurses were smiling toward her, their commands getting louder. the pain seemed to rise with the anxiousness in the air, but she got the feeling she would be seeing her baby soon, and she did as the nurses instructed.

moments later, ashley was being handed her baby. she smiled brightly, cradling the tiny bundle in her arms. congratulations. came on of the nurse's voices, smiling at ashley before doing the same for tex. she's beautiful. she grinned. so it was a girl. you're so cute. ashley smiled, holding her close before smiling up at tex.

Tex softly whispered encouragements into his new bride's ears as she went through the pains of giving birth to his child. He never once winced, for he couldn't feel the pain that went through his hand, he could only feel the pride that went through his heart. There was no room for any other feeling than love. He stared down at the baby once it was done, dumbfounded and awed by the small, chubby face. Finally, after a long moment, his face burst into a smile and he leaned down close, crooning to the tiny life that he had helped produce. Dear God...Your just so perfect ain't ya? He whispered, a foolish smile that was full of pride and love drowning his face. He chuckled softly and looked at Ashley, then leaned over to kiss her. You did so great! She's...she's perfect! He grinned, as his eyes traveled over the most beautiful baby that he had ever seen. He reached for her, his eyes travelled to Ashley, silently asking to hold the tiny life in his arms.

amy smiled brighter than ever before, beginning to cry. the doctor and nurses left, quietly. they'd be back to check in later. she nodded, still smiling, handing the baby to tex. she moved to the edge of the hospital bed, ignoring the dizziness as she wrapped her arms around tex, smiling down at her baby. oh, i wouldn't say she's perfect...that's an understatement. she smiled toward her husband. she was still having trouble believing she was married...and had a baby, now. so what should we name our little angel? it seems like there isn't a name perfect enough. she smiled toward tex. there were so many thoughts coming into her mind that it was hard to keep up. and when are colt and amy going to come see her? she smiled, forcing herself to keep her eyelids from drooping. so...tired.

Tex laughed softly as he rocked the baby back and forth and kissed her on the forehead. Then he laid the baby back in Ashley's arms and picked Ashley and the baby up gently. He kissed both of them on the forehead and then rocked them gently, smiling happily. Well, we might have a bit trouble getting through the door like this. He chuckled as he laid Ashley back onto the hospital bed, then he paced to the door, flinging it open. Colt, Amy, get in here! He hollered and hurried back to the bedside, where he bent over mother and daughter again, crooning softly.
Colt soon appeared at the door and stopped to wait for Amy to come. Novalle stood behind him, smiling softly. Reno walked just behind them.

ashley smiled up at him, laughing softly before he laid her back down. colt, amy, novalle and reno came in. hey! you want to see her? she smiled toward colt, who was the only one that was fully in the room. amy followed close behind, her hand in his before seeing her sister and the baby. oh my gosh! she squealed. ashley looked down to her baby, who was sleeping. shhh. she said, raising a finger to her lips. amy nodded. oh my gosh! she whisper-screamed. ashley smiled gently. her sister had been so bubbly lately. amy moved toward the baby. can i hold her? she said, looking to ashley before looking to tex. ashley looked toward tex. how about naming her...isabella? she smiled. bella for short? she smiled. he had suggested the name isabel before, but she wondered if he'd like it with an 'a' on the end.

Tex smiled and nodded qucikly. It suits her perfectly. He said as he leaned down to kiss her once more before she was handed off to Amy. Be careful, she's really tiny. He half-whispered as he watched Amy handle her gently. Colt stood over Amy's shoulder, talking softly to the baby as he smiled down. Novalle edged into the room and stood akwardly a few feet away, fealing strange without really knowing why. Reno silently paced over to Tex clapping him on the back. Well, maybe you aren't useless after all. He joked as he looked at the baby, then he smiled at Ashley, winking quickly. Well, maybe in this he was kinda useless. He refered to the fact that Tex had very little to do with the birth.

ashley smiled, hugging him tightly. amy sat down on the bed by ashley's feet, cradling her for a few moments. i can't believe i'm an aunt. she smiled softly before looking up to colt. you want to hold her? she smiled. ashley nodded, signaling that it would be fine if tex didn't mind. she smiled toward reno. yeah, i see you crazy people haven't got to gelding him yet. she laughed softly just before she yawned, sinking back into her pillow. i might have to take a nap soon. she smiled, her words sounding strange as he spoke through the yawn.

Reno smiled. Well if that ugly S.O.B. could make somethin' this cute, then I guess we'll need to think twice about castration. He smirked as Tex punched his in the arm.
Colt gently grabbed Bella and held her head softly as he sat down beside Amy, laughing gently and he gurbled to the baby in Sioux. Then he turned to Reno, laughing softly as he handed the baby to him. Reno smiled and grabbed the baby gently, murmering curse words about grown men who talked like idiots to a small chubby baby girl. He laughed none the less when Tex covered the babies ears and cussed Reno up one side and down the other and launched into a speech about how he was and was not going to talk in front of his daughter. Both the men fell silent when Ashley spoke up, smiling awkwardly as Tex took the baby back and handed her to Ashley.[/b] Alright, ya'll mongrels. Get outta here so mama can get some rest. [/b] He joked as he ushered them out the door.

ashley couldn't help but mutter an 'awww...' as tex covered their baby's ears and lectured reno. she smiled, waving to the group as they left. you're so sweet. she smiled toward tex. but if i'm going to be up all night for the next few months taking care of bella, then i better get some sleep now. and i'd suggest you get some after i wake up. 'cause guess who's gonna be up with me when bella's crying her head off? she smirked, closing her eyes.

Tex just laughed and pulled a chair up. He laid his head back as Ashley dozed off and sat there, thinking of any thing and everything that came to his mind. He was a father, and he was determined to be a better one than his had been. He sighed unconciously and shifted, before turning to watch Ashley and Bella sleep.

Katie walked into the hospital and went up to the desk and asked, "Could you tell me where Ashley LaHaye is staying, please?" She nodded and said the room number. She replied with a thankyou and went into the elevator. It took a while to get to that floor. She walked through the hall saying the number over and over again to remember it. She got to the room and knocked on the door eagerly. She had brought some chocolates for Ashley and a pink rattle with ponies on it for the baby.

the knock awoke ashley, and she blinked, rather disoriented. she stood, ignoring the dizziness, shaking tex's shoulder. tex? wake up honey. she whispered softly before heading toward the door, bella still in her arms. hey katie! she said, a bit louder than usual to wake tex up if he still happened to be dozing. she took a seat down back on the bed. so are you here to see bella? she smiled, stroking her baby's head. the newborn looked up at her with wide eyes, smiling. ashley smiled back before looking back to katie.
