chris strode into the restaraunt, taking a seat at the same booth lindsay and dylan had sat at not too long ago. of course he didn't know that, or the fact that lindsay had only just broken up with dylan, but he would be there for her either way. why? because he liked her...not only was she cute, she was sweet and he felt she would be understanding of his...let's just call them secrets. but hey, nobody's perfect right? no, but chris hudson came pretty close. lindsay came in moments later. for now, they were just friends...acquaintances, really...but chris was looking for more than that. even if dylan thought he'd found something better, chris knew he was wrong. or at least...thought he was wrong.

Lindsay walked into the resturant and smiled at Chris.The rsturant made her think of dylan,and hed chosen the same booth theyd sat in but as far as lindsay was now consernded it was his lost,they were friends and she was cool with that,besides its not like she hadnt been dumped before."hello,so what brings you here?"asked lindsay wondering why hed came to Nevada."Well besides my great looks?"she said sarcasticaly.Alison called her the Queen of sarcasim..she was well known for it.She looked into his amazing eyes,he was so handsome.Her icey blue eyes sparkeled and she probably looked horrible.She was wearing some jeans that were on the tight side and a icey blue halter.If Dylan hadnt of shown up at the time he did she probably would of been in a baggy tee shirt and pajama pants."So what are you gonna have?"she asked.She felt strange,despite all that had happpened that nigth she felt like joking around,like laughing until her stomache hurt.She never felt this way before..was it love or just her getting over Dylan.Whatever it was shed never felt it before..and her smile wasnt fading.

chris smiled softly. i think that was my only reason actually. he smirked. no, not really. i guess i just wanted to be with horses again. but meeting people like you were definitely high on my list. he smirked, not speaking of the fact he'd wanted to meet only her. he couldn't be that obvious with his feelings. because he was pretty sure that it would be wrong to try and hook up with somebody after they'd been dumped. he found it hard to resist the way her eyes were sparkling, but he held himself back, smiling as if nothing was wrong. but he couldn't deny the fact he was daydreaming. what are you going to have? she smiled. but he was too busy thinking about how gorgeous she was to think of an answer. he snapped out of it just before he answered. pizza. what else? he smiled. he'd actually thought of saying you but that would have been the wrong thing to say. he ripped his eyes away from her, looking down at the menu. but his eyes couldn't stay on the paper for long. he looked up at her again, smiling. you know, you look prettier than usual tonight. he smiled. there was nothing wrong with a friend giving a friend compliments, right? of course not.

"I guess I must attract a fw people here"said lindsay sarcastically..She knew her reason of leaving NY and it was nowhere as calm as his..Shed left to leave her past,hed come for the horses.Her eyes looked down at the menu but seemd to sneak up to take peeks at him.Lindsay had no clue why she was feeling so happy and why she couldnt just read the menu..what was up with her tonight?she tapped her fingers on teh table as she glanced at it all,why was it so hard for her to make a decsion tonight?Lindsay laughed at his comment and said"Well if you wanted gum im sure theres someunder a table"said lindsay sarcastically.She looked at the menu.pepperoni?meatlovers?deluxe?hawian?cheese?Canadian? She couldnt get over how hard it was to decide tonight,ushally she know but tonight she felt like she would end up picking a random kind."Well thankyou,but I didnt exactly put any thought into this outfit"she said looking at her outfit,oh well if he thought she looked good then shed let him go with it."I must say you look pretty good for just arriving"said lindsay thinking he was definatly some good eye candy.

chris smiled toward her. you must be desperate. he smiled, able to look down at the menu in his embarrassment. i guess i'll just have cheese pizza. he shrugged. his british voice sounded strange pronouncing the word 'pizza'. look...lindsay. before i get too into this, i have to ask you something. are you really looking for something serious here? he looked at her, wondering if she was just liking him because she'd recently been hurt. the fact that he was too nice for his own good was usually taken advantage of, but he couldn't help but think she wasn't that kind of girl.

Lindsay sat there trying to get hr mind together,was she into him?She hadnt ever felt this way for anyone but shed just been dumped...well i didnt feel this way with dylan after me and colt broke up she thought.She looked into his eyes and tried to put her words together."I've never felt this way with someone before...I think im falling for you and not just looks"said lindsay wondering if it sounded totally stupid on the reciving end.She looked down at the menu and desided to have something diffrent,something she ushally didnt have."Deluxe sounds good i guess"she said and placed her menu down.

all chris was able to do was smile and turn scarlet as he looked down at the menu, even though he'd already decided what to eat. like i said, you must be desperate. he smiled. he wasn't going to tell her he felt the same way. he didn't want to drag her into something she didn't want. if she wanted to be in a relationship with him, he'd decided she'd need to tell him herself. his green eyes returned to her once more. look...what happened between you and dylan? 'cause you kind of seem like you think he's strange or something. he said sympathetically.

Lindsay smiled and said"If im despreate id hate to know what you are mister I've thought you were cute for a long time!"she said reaching over the table and playfully punching him."I hope you dont bruise like a peach"she said playfully,not that shed hit him hard."Well..I told Dylan my past,he told me his.well it was the other way around..he told his first but anyways,I fell in love as soon as id told him,him being the first person to ever know the whole thing.I thought hed fell in love with me..but I guess i was wrong.He cheated on me with Katie and then broke up with me for katie...and i dont think hes strange but i dont think he gets me and as far as im concerned its his loss..I dont need somebody to help me stand,he does."said lindsay amazed she could say the whole story without abit of sadness,but she had said it like it was and she wasnt sad anymore..she had her horses,her talent,her mother,her sisters,the lamberts,Chris Irwin and her friends.Chris was in there somewhere but she wasnt sure where to put him.He was special to her...but shed only known him for awhile and the first dinner she was not planning to ask him out..shed learned her lesson of guessing people emotions..she wanted to know how he felt.

chris moved his hand instinctually across the table, grabbing lindsay's subconciously. sorry 'bout that. dylan has cheated on girls before, but...i don't know. at least he doesn't have two girlfriends at one time. he sighed. hopefully he won't do the same to katie. either way, i doubt he'll cheat on her. she's all he ever talks about lately. he said, honestly hoping that lindsay didn't still want to be with him. because if she did, what he'd just said would probably have hurt her. and he didn't want that. luckily for me, i haven't met enough girls who actually like me to have two girlfriends at a time. i couldn't stand the drama. girls just normally use me. he said, british voice full of spite, a hint of regret. his eyes moved toward her, only to realize he was holding her hand. oh....oops. he said, gently pulling his away. great chris. set yourself up for more embarrassment.

"WEll I think there a cute couple..besides at least he was nice enough to dump me"lindsay said and then added"Were still friends...but thats all we will ever be"she said not in a sad tone but more of a it sucks to be him,he gets one chance and nothing more."Im glad they like each other..He seems more ineed of a girlfriend who doesnt have a bad past..a guess he feels that if something happened to him then somehing cant happen to his girlfriend"Said lindsay being totally honest..it had nothing to do with backbone..she had enough or even to much of that."Thats surprsing..I would have figured youd have about 10 epople gushing over you"She said being serious,she had to say he was nice and cute..something she thought everygirl wanted..but guess not.Lindsay looked at him and his hand as he said oops and said"What are you saying oops for?If i hated you i would have slapped you accross the face as soon as your hand came near me".She smiled warmly as if saying dont feel embarressed,thats soemthing i always do.

chris smiled softly toward lindsay, entwining his fingers with hers once more. glad you think so highly of me. he laughed softly. a waitress came up, looking down at chris with a smile on her face. she noticed the two holding hands and frowned a little. chris pulled his hand away awkwardly. he didn't want word getting out that they were a couple if they weren't. the waitress smiled again. what would you like, sweetheart? she said, sitting down next to him. chris moved away awkwardly, narrowing his eyes. i'd like for you to get away from me. he hissed, smirking softly. he was sure she was a sweet girl, but she was laying it on too thick. she moved away poutily, fluffing her hair. chris sighed. anyways...i'll have just a slice of cheese pizza. he said. the girl looked to lindsay angrily. and you? she muttered spitefully.

"Theres no reason not to"said Lindsay smiling.She watched as the waitress came up and her smile turned into a frown.What was with the waitress around here?they always check out the guys and hit on them..they even did that when Dylan and her were on a date."Id like to have a slice of Deluxe pizza,thanks for asking so nicely"she said looking the waitress in the eye and in her head saying What is this world coming to?She just shook her head and sat in her seat taping her fingers on the table hoping the waitress would leave.When the waitress finally left she looked at Chris and said"That was a little awkard..but it proves my fact that your cute"she said with a luagh.

chris smirked from across the table. can we just stop talking about how cute i am? he laughed softly, leaning in to kiss lindsay. his lips parted gently, pulling her closer, smirking through the kiss. by the time the waitress returned to "check in" on her new crush, the couple was french-kissing passionately. she cleared her throat, waiting for them to finish. chris took the hint, pulling away to smile up at the waitress as if nothing had happened. the waitress narrowed her eyes. you...need....anything...else? she said through gritted teeth, trying to sound kind through her anger. or were you too busy with your makeout session to see me? she was yelling at chris now, her face redder than her shirt, and chris was glad the restaraunt was empty. chris tightened his jaw, determined not to say anything. he smiled coyly up at the bratty waitress. yeah, i guess so. he smirked. the waitress' eyes smoldered before she turned to leave. chris winked toward lindsay, sticking his foot out from under the table. the waitress stumbled over it, but she didn't fall to the floor, just glared at chris and lindsay before leaving. chris had turned scarlet now, his embarrassment uncovered without the mask of anger. sorry 'bout that. he said, his british voice sounding a bit scared he'd went too far on the first "date" if you could even call it that.

"Well you continue to keep telling me how good i look"said lindsay smileing.She playfully stuck out her tongue athim and smiled.Lindsay pulled him closer gently,kissing him pastionatly.When Chris pulled away she alomst wanted to say what I do but realized the waitress was there.She looked at the waitress and smiled saying"Its not my fault you like the guy whos taking me out for dinner" said Lindsay..figuring that sound better then sitting at a table with me.Lindsay tried hard not to burst out laughing as Chris tripped the waitress,she deserved."Good one"said lindsay raising her hand for a high five.She in a way wished the old ashley was here..she would of put on a good show."I kissed you back didn't I"said Lindsay smileing,she was too kind to say it was alot for a first date..and if she didnt like him she would have stormed out of the resturant already."Stop apoligzing,You dont see me apoligizing for showing my feelings"said lindsay softly..she wasnt the kind of person he wanted everyone to be perfect..perfect people or people that think there perfect werent ushally the kind lindsay hung out with.

chris shrugged, looking away. i dunno, lindsay. i'm scared to be like dylan. i don't want to hurt you. he said. he buried his head in his hands, a frustrated expression coming onto his face. i don't know, lindsay. i can't handle this. i feel like i'm getting too committed for the first date. if you could even call it that. he sighed. guys aren't supposed to like their girls this much this soon. i'm not acting normally. he growled. i don't even know what's making me like this. he said angrily. it was evident chris already loved lindsay with all his heart. he just didn't know it yet.
